Ralph Kurth is the President and CEO of Teshmont Consultants LP a Canadian consulting firm which is an international industry leader in the engineering study and design of high voltage ac and dc power transmission systems. As President, he is responsible for all aspects of the company’s performance relative to broad strategic and financial objectives and the oversight of the day-to-day management and operation of the Company.
Prior to his appointment as President in 2008, Mr. Kurth worked for over 20 years with Teshmont gaining significant international and domestic experience in the engineering study, design and commissioning of high voltage ac and dc power transmission systems. He also has experience in project management, estimating and scheduling and lead the development of the company’s quality and project management systems and practices.
Kurth obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Manitoba in 1987. He is a Certified Project Management Professional since 2005 and is a registered engineer in the provinces of Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Mr. Kurth is also a member of the IEEE, CIGRE and PMI, was a Director on the Board of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC) – Manitoba and serves on the Project Management Curriculum Advisory Board of Red River College.
